I am honoured when I am asked to be a part of someone's wedding day. I understand that it's an event that runs more smoothly when spent with people who are calm and professional so I aim to bring that to the work I do. As your bridal make-up artist, I am available to travel to your home or hotel room so that you can be relaxed and comfortable during the hours leading up to the ceremony. As it's also a time where unplanned events can arise, I only take one bridal booking per day so you can be assured of my full attention to the task at hand. Good preparation is the key to any successful event, so I recommend my clients book a make-up trial with me prior to the day so that we can develop ideas to achieve the perfect wedding-day look for you. A trial takes between one and two hours, during which time we'll design your look and alter anything you're unsure about. The trial also allows you to test how everything wears, so we can modify the range of products used on the wedding day if necessary. We will also tentatively plan a look for the other members of your bridal party so you aren't put on the spot at an already busy time. On the day of your wedding I like to allow around an hour to apply the bride's make-up and forty minutes for each member of the bridal party. It will most likely be completed more quickly than this, but I like to allocate the time just in case last-minute changes are necessary. I arrive 15 minutes prior to the time I need to start and aim to be finished by the time your photographer arrives, or whenever suits you best. Ideally we should be finished a minimum of 30 minutes before you need to leave for the ceremony. To help ensure the make-up is applied flawlessly, I ask that on the day members of the bridal party have clean, moisturised skin so that we are ready to apply the make-up. It is also recommend that everyone gently exfoliates their skin the day before so that the make-up will glide on smoothly and look perfect. Additionally I am more than happy to provide skincare recommendations for your skin type. I only use the best professional-grade products. My kit is made up of products I've tried, tested and trust, including those from MAC, Make Up For Ever and Nars. Please let me know if you have a product you love and would like to include in your wedding-day make-up and I will do my best to work it in with your look. I can also recommend pressed powder and lip products for you to touch-up your make-up on the day if required.
